Programming G-type keys (DST80, 80 bit) on Tokai Rika immoboxes
Toyota/LexusInterface ClassicKeys / ImmoMedium⏱ 30-60 min (up to 15+ min for the reset alone)7 steps
Separate Tokai Rika immoboxes with G-type key (DST80, 80 bit). Three routes are covered: adding a key, all keys lost and key cloning. It also covers how the module behaves after a reset, when it stays in auto key learning.

⚠ WarningA DST80 transponder can only be prepared once. After a reset the immobox stays in Auto key learning state and can stay there until 2 or more keys are programmed: do not attempt another reset in that state.
Procedure
Prepare the transponder from "Transponder Tool" > "Production" > "DST80/DST+" menu as DST type 36, 37, 56, 57, 93, 97 or 98 according to what the vehicle needs. Alternatively you can use an Abrites TA36 key.
VIA OBDII - Open "Special Functions" > "Key learning", let the immobox be identified and follow the on-screen messages. If all keys are lost you can use a TPX1 transponder, placing it in the PROTAG when the software asks for it.
If the software starts an immobox reset, settle in and wait: some units take 15 minutes or more to reset and the time depends on the module's software version, not on its part number.
Once the reset is done the module is in Auto key learning: program at least 2 keys straight away. To try to get out of auto key learning state, press the brake pedal 5 times.
BY DUMP - Read the immobox EEPROM memory with the ABPROG software, then open "Transponder Tool" > "Transponder by dump", load the dump and program the transponder.
Write the new dump back into the immobox EEPROM memory with ABPROG, refit it and check that the car starts.
To simply clone a G-type key you do not need the car: use "Transponder Tool" > "Cloner" with the PROTAG.
