Useful for finding out which firmware version the emulator has, for example to check whether it supports W176/W246/W117 (which need version 32 or higher).

Procedure
- Connect the emulator properly, either on the bench or in the car.
- Set the toggle switches as if you were working on a W204.
- Open "Special Functions" > "DAS Manager" > "ESL/ELV" field.
- Read the value displayed: that is the emulator version, for example 0000000000000032 corresponds to version 32.
