DAS 2b immobilizer: AAM/EAM Configuration, ML transponder learning and key management

A special function for reading and writing the AAM and EAM/DAS Configuration data and for learning an already programmed transponder to the DAS 2b immobilizer system. The same screen also gives access to key deactivation/reactivation and to remote control learning.

Procedure

1. Connect the interface, open the "Special Functions" tab and select "Immobilizer" (DAS 2b).
2. Read the AAM and EAM/DAS Configuration data and save it to file as a backup before making any change.
3. On Mercedes ML, program the transponder first using the "Transponder Generation" function.
4. To learn a transponder already programmed to the immobilizer system, enter the key number (a value between 1 and 8) and press the "Learn ML Transponder" button.
5. From the same screen open "DAS Adaptations" to deactivate/reactivate keys either revocably or irrevocably (for example to permanently lock out a lost key).
6. Also from this screen, open "Learn Radio Code of a new Transmitter Key" to teach the vehicle a new remote control.
7. On DAS 3 systems bear in mind the electronic key is completely separate from the remote and is powered by the EIS: it can start the vehicle even with a flat remote battery; the pull-out mechanical emergency key is for access, the glovebox and the boot.
