The "SW Update" special function checks whether the modules fitted to the vehicle need a software update and, if it finds any, lets you carry it out by downloading the flash files straight from the Abrites servers.

⚠ WarningThe procedure needs an internet connection and active AMS, because the flash files are downloaded from the Abrites servers: without valid AMS it will not start. The update database holds data up to 19.07.2017, so on newer modules it may not find anything. Since this is reprogramming, keep a stable supply on the vehicle for the whole operation.
Procedure
Check that your AVDI has active AMS and that the PC is connected to the internet: without those two the function cannot download the flash files.
Plug the AVDI into the OBDII socket and turn the ignition ON, with the vehicle on a stable power supply.
Start "ABRITES diagnostics for MITSUBISHI", go to the "Special Functions" tab and select "SW Update" by double-clicking or with the "Open" button.
Let the software interrogate the modules fitted to the car and compare the versions against its own update database (data up to 19.07.2017).
Read the result: if the software finds modules that need updating, it offers to carry out the update.
Start the update and wait without interrupting: the flash file is downloaded from the Abrites servers and programmed into the module. Do not unplug the interface, do not switch the ignition off and do not close the program during writing.
When the procedure has finished, cycle the ignition off and on, reconnect to the updated module and check the software version with "Identification".
Run a full scan, read the faults with "Read DTCs" and clear the codes generated by the reprogramming with "Clear DTCs".
