EVAP Pressure Sensor High
Meaning
Signal voltage from the EVAP pressure sensor is above the maximum threshold, typically over 4.9 V. This indicates a short to Vref or battery positive, or an internally failed sensor.
Common causes
- Short to Vref or B+ in signal wire
- Open ground circuit
- Sensor internally shorted high
- Damaged connector
Symptoms
- MIL illuminated
- EVAP monitor incomplete
- No driveability impact
Severity
Low — impact is limited to emissions monitoring only.
What to do
- Measure signal voltage at sensor connector
- Check signal wire for short to Vref or battery positive
- Verify ground circuit continuity
- Replace sensor if wiring checks out
